MixTalk ("the Service") is a cross-language chat, language-learning and language-partner social app for users worldwide. By registering and using the Service you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
You must register using truthful, lawful information and must not impersonate anyone else. You are responsible for activity under your account. Illegal content, harassment, spam and deceptive traffic-driving are prohibited.
You are responsible for what you send in private chat. We do not apply topic restrictions or keyword filtering to one-to-one chat, but we reserve the right to act on reports and on lawful requests.
In groups with 6 or more members, the system may show a warning for clearly pornographic signals. Messages are not deleted or blocked. This check runs on our own servers using keyword rules. Users must respect public decency.
The Service offers voice rooms, voice calls and video calls. Real-time audio and video streams are transmitted for the call only and are not recorded or stored by us. Text messages you send inside a voice room are stored on our servers so the room history can be shown. Room owners and moderators can remove a speaker from the stage or remove a member from the room.
Translation, translate-on-send, voice transcription and translation, grammar correction and writing assistance are provided by external large-model services. When you use these features, the text or voice recording being processed is sent to a third-party model provider. The providers, what is sent, and when it is sent are described in sections 8 to 10 of the Privacy Policy. If you do not want your content sent, do not use those features.
The profile map, the "nearby" feature and distance labels rely on device location. Granting location permission is entirely your choice; declining it does not affect chat, matching or other core features. Profile map images are produced by a third-party map service, and turning coordinates into a city name is done by a third-party geocoding service. See sections 4 to 7 of the Privacy Policy.
In one-to-one chat, group chat and the mutually agreed "trust material exchange" screen, the Service notifies the other side when it detects that you took a screenshot or started a screen recording. Opening someone's profile leaves a visitor record that the profile owner can see. By using the Service you understand that both mechanisms apply to you as well.
Verification is voluntary. It improves trust display and recommendation ranking; it costs nothing and does not unlock core features. You may choose "lightweight verification" (verified phone or email) or voluntarily upload clear original document images for enhanced verification. Uploaded documents go through AI-assisted first-pass review as described in section 10 of the Privacy Policy.
You can report violations from user profiles, messages, moments, groups and voice rooms. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features or ban accounts. Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is handled under our Child Safety Standards and reported to the competent authority.
You keep your rights in the content you post. So that we can deliver it to the recipient, display it on your device and the recipient's device, and run the features you actively choose (such as translation), you grant us a licence to store, transmit, display and technically process that content within the Service. The licence ends when the content is deleted or the account is closed.
We may update features or suspend the Service. You can delete your account and request deletion of your personal data at any time from Settings.
Language-partner matching and chatting are initiated by users themselves; please take normal safety precautions before meeting anyone offline. Disputes arising from user-posted content are the responsibility of the person who posted it. The availability and conduct of third-party services (maps, large models, SMS, push) are outside our control.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules). Disputes should first be settled amicably; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people's court at the operator's location.
